滑滑嫩嫩的布丁，是不少大人、小朋友最愛的點心，許多人都以為布丁是雞蛋、牛奶做的，吃了一定很健康；但有關調查發現，一杯布丁的含糖量卻不輸含糖飲料，以市售「大布丁」為例，一杯180公克，含糖量竟高達28.4公克，相當於6.3顆方糖。

世界衛生組織建議，每日精緻糖攝取最好占總熱量的5％以下，以幼童來說，4至6歲孩童每日精緻糖攝取應少於20公克，而7至9歲要少於22.5公克，糖吃太多恐有副作用。

想吃布丁也有聰明的方法，可以先看看原料欄位，原料排序越前面的代表成分越多，建議民眾購買前要張大眼睛。

日常生活中的外食常常加入糖做調味，為了身體健康著想，營養師建議，一星期不要吃超過2次的甜食，以免容易發胖。
